How To Play Bingo

Bingo is traditionally played in halls around the country where each person playing pays for a book that they then use for the duration of the evening. Each book generally has ten different coloured sheets on it with each one corresponding to a new game. Players take their seats and wait for the game to begin. Bingo is a very social game and many people go, not only to play and win, but to meet friends and enjoy the experience together.

The ‘Caller’ is the person who stands at the top of the room and, as indicated by the name, calls out the numbers from the Bingo machine. Players must pay careful attention as these numbers and be sure to mark them off the card quickly and accurately. The caller keeps calling numbers until one or more players claim Bingo. The game then stops so the numbers can be verified. If there is a winner, the prize is awarded and a new bingo game begins with new cards. If there is more than one winner, the prize is split among all the winners.

The online versions are worked in a very similar way. The computer randomly selects the cards for you and while most give three or four cards, other online bingo halls will give you more for your money. Depending on where you play, you may have to mark your online card yourself, if you fancy though, some online Bingo games will automatically mark the numbers on the card for you.
