Betfair is an innovative betting site that takes the concept of regular gambling but turns it around so that you can become the bookie betting against other gamblers, essentially cutting out the middle man i.e. the bookie. This give you on average 20% better odds than you could find at a traditional bookmakers.

Betfair have decided to revolutionise the idea of betting and so far have been exceptionally successful at it. The idea is that you don't just back winners but you also 'Lay' losers. For example, if you decide to lay a horse in a race you are, in theory, backing the horse to lose the race.
