Suited connectors are like beautiful loose women. They look so inviting and you really want to play with them but they can also get you into a lot of trouble – especially if you are married!

Poker literature and advice will stick in your memory like dog hairs on your clothes after taking your pet to the vets in the car. In your mind, when you think about suited connectors, you probably think about playing them in multi way pots, losing small pots and winning huge pots.

But do they do what is painted on the tin?

For those using the poker sign up bonus to find the answer for this you need some statistics about YOUR play. Just because your friends mothers auntie makes a profit with 78s doesn’t mean you do. What spots are making you money with these holdings and what spots are not. To find this out you need to be the owner of poker tracking software.

The other important facet to playing suited connectors is the behaviour of your opponents and your position in the hand. If you are holding a suited connector against a very weak opponent whom you have position over then you may want to raise behind him to isolate him.

This way, those using the Betfair Promo Code can play some post flop poker against him with a hand that will provide you with a lot of opportunities to semi bluff. If the weakness comes from the blinds then you may want to just cold call from later position and allow the blinds to join the action as well. You are now getting better implied odds and still have position over your weaker opponents.

They are also a very good hand to use as a three-bet bluff against an opponent with a high fold to three bet percentage because when called they still provide you with a lot of post flop equity on most boards.

You’ve seen the show on telly, now play the new Hole In The Wall fruit machine from Paddy Power Games.

Based on the saturday night hit TV game show hosted by Dale Winton, this cool online fruit machine game gives you the chance to see what you’re made of. Clear the walls and reap the rewards in a fun bonus round that plays just like the show. For the most part the fruit machine is a fairly standard multi-win line game, the difference between this fruit machine and others is the bonus round and the free spins you can win.

The bonus round works like this ~ get 2 or more ‘Hole In The Wall’ symbols in any position and you automatically get a scatter award. Get 3 or more ‘Hole In The Wall’ symbols to trigger the bonus game. Click on one of the bonus symbols to reveal a ‘starting award’, which is based on your total stake for that spin. This is yours to keep no matter what happens in the bonus. The number of triggering symbols, up to 5, determines how many walls you will face.

You enter the bonus round with the award amount you revealed on the bonus symbol. Each time you successfully clear a wall you earn an additional bonus multiplier that increases your starting award. The more walls you clear the larger the bonus multiplier. What’s more, the bonus multipliers you earn are added together.

This is a great little fruit machine from Paddy Power Games, considering you also get a free cash bonus when you join! I’ve made a video of the fruit machine so you can see how the game works.
It is thought to have first been played in Italy as a national lottery, before the idea extended around Europe. It was even used in some countries in the 19th century as a schooling aid for education.

The modern entertainment game of bingo we know today started in the USA, and was used there as a means of raising funds for good causes. In USA the game was played with beans and the Americans initially called it ‘Bean-Go’ which was in the end abridged to ‘Beano’. A businessman from New York City saw the potential to make some money from the game and employed a maths teacher to create more bingo cards. The maths professor is said to have gone barmy from creating 6000 variations of bingo cards. not extraordinary taking into consideration this was in the days before computers, but the consequence was that there was just now just one winner per bingo game, prior to this bingo cards could generate numerous winners which would reduce the prize money and make the game less appealing.

Eric Morley brought the game of bingo back across the pond in the early sixties. Morley had presided over the Miss World show, and saw that bingo would be a great way to fill the United Kingdom’s dance halls that had been largely abandoned since the rise of television. Bingo was seen as a great way of getting the community back out of their homes again to socialise, and the cause was greatly aided by the moderation of gambling laws in the UK. The brand name Morley gave his new bingo company was ‘Mecca’ and it led the bingo trend that swept the country, and is still sweeping today!

The brand name Mecca Bingo became the most recognized in the land and even the bingo callers became well-known! A contest is still held to find the best Mecca Bingo caller in the country. While a lot of the bigger halls do not use the old bingo expressions anymore, it is still used in seaside bingo halls and working mens clubs. The 1980s saw a new era for bingo, with purpose built up to date bingo halls springing up around the country, and the popularity of the game just keeps on growing – In 2006 more people in the UK went to bingo halls than to football games.

Bingo Online is the most recent version of the game and has taken the country by storm, and the UK is enjoying the fastest spreading online bingo market! Mecca bingo is an remarkable bingo web site, and being respected as the earliest bingo brand in the United kingdom, it has attracted countless bingo players. There are simply loads of games on offer, seven main 90 ball bingo rooms – Three Little Ducks, Key to the Door, Lucky for Some, Turbo 90, Clickety Click, Legs Eleven and Dancing Queen. There are also three 75 ball bingo rooms – Jump and Jive, Sunset Strip and Lucky 7 where you have more chances to win.

Over 50 fruit machines games offered as well slot machines, scratch cards and instant win style games. Mecca online is pretty much all you could ask for, including a welcoming online community and moderators to help you with anything you might need!

Registration is genuinely easy, and the webpages are bright and appealing. You can play many of games absolutely on the house, you can have famous soap stars as your bingo caller (if you so wish), there are understandable instructions on how to play each game by simply pressing on the question mark symbol and there is the prospect to get a great cash bonus Just join, make your deposit and you receive a bonus. Are you ready to visit Mecca!

The only acception to that rule is if you’re heads up in a tournament and have barely enough for the next blind or if you’re the big blind and no one raise before you.

Even then you’re going to need a miracle of biblical proportions to win with these hands! If you see these cards at any other time, fold faster than Superman on laundry day!

A common mistake many new poker players make is playing too many hands, caught up in the excitement of the game they over play poor hands. Don’t force weak hands, even for the odd time you’ll get a lucky flop, it won’t pay in the long run to push weak cards. You might see Gus Hansen do it in the WSOP, but that doesn’t mean you can do it online, Gus has a reputation and that allows him to get away with some crazy moves. Online players call more often than players in real world games, remember Chris Ferguson’s tip. “Pump it or Dump it ~ if your hand isn’t strong enough for a raise it’s too weak for a call!”

The Worst Poker Hands

These are the very worst of the worst poker hands, here is a couple of reasons why these hands are considered sooooo bad. With these hands you have no straight draw, no flush draw, and even if you make a pair it’s unlikely you’ll have the best hand at the table because the card values are so low. Just because you might see a rare 7-7-2 flop, that doesn’t make it a good reason to play these hands.

So now you know the worst poker hands, lets look at some of the best hands you can get in texas holdem.

Playing scratch cards online may seem a bit alien to a lot of people – after all, isn’t the fun in the actual scratching? Maybe for some but there are actually loads of advantages to playing scratch cards online – there is a far greater range than what you will find in your local shop or supermarket, and online there are prices to suit every pocket.

They are the newest form of lottery, and a lot of people consider them to be a lot more thrilling. It is not just the National Lottery that deals in scratch cards and high payouts though ~ you can also play for high stakes online. They also pay out instantly and there is a very high win rate with a very broad range of jackpot prizes.

You can play online cards for a little as 0.10p each which a good deal cheaper than the ones you buy in the shop which now cost a minimum of £1 and up to £5 per card. Scratch cards are always a game of chance so there is not a lot you can do to increase your chances of winning, but the more cards you buy the more likely you are to win. This does not necessarily mean that you spend more money on cards, just choose the ones with the lesser purchase values. For example, if you were to buy one scratch card at your local shop, it would cost you £1 – £2, whereas online you could buy 10 – 20 cards for that amount online.

Jackpot Joy Scratch Cards are the best gaming site for scratch cards, and you can play numerous scratch card games including Deal or No Deal, Noughts and Crosses, Crazy Fruits, Gold Fever, Golden Balls, Monopoly, Money Machine, The Price is Right, Money Machine, Sharon Osbourne, Genie, Cash Crop, A Girls Night Out, Whole Lotta Luck to name but a few.

Deal or No Deal is an extremely popular scratch card game, which you too can play from just £0.50p, and there are jackpots of up to £10,000! As well as that there is a 95% payout with Deal or No Deal. You can play The Price is Right from as little as £0.05p, there is a 92% payout and variable jackpots. On top of all this there is a cash bonus available when you join Jackpot Joy, there are free versions of most of their scratch cards; so you can give them a go before you play for money; and there is an online chat-room, so you talk to your fellow scratchies!

As well as the scratch cards available on Jackpot Joy there is also bingo, slot machines, casino games, as well as an online version of the TV show Deal or No Deal! Finally, if you thought it couldn’t get any better, it can! When you decide to sign up with Jackpot Joy Scratch Cards to play for cash, then you first deposit will be doubled up to a maximum of £100!!!

Slot Machines or Fruit Machines as they are know in the United Kingdom are a huge attraction of modern casinos, and this is mainly due to the fact that they are easy to use, have easy to learn and generic systems of play and are used for all bets from the very tiny to the quite large! The first slot machine ever to have existed was made by a man called Charles Fey. Fey, a mechanic invented the Liberty Bell in 1895, and it quickly gained huge popularity, becoming the first technologically sophisticated piece of machinery to be found in casinos.

The popularity of slot machines spread around the globe and were mainly to be found in bars. In order to try and make them more acceptable to have in public places such as shops a man called O D Jennings, who ran the Industry Novelty Company replaced the card symbols with pictures of fruit and rebranded the machine as a chewing gum dispenser! The legality of the gum dispenser was often disputed in court, but the manufacturers usually won. Replications and variations were quickly designed such as Herbert Mill’s reengineered version of the Liberty Bell which he invented in 1907, which took on the fruit symbols of the gum machines, which led them to be called ‘Fruit Machines’.

The first electric machines were electromechanical, which made pulling the handle of the machine less satisfying! The electromechanical machines were replaced in the 1980’s by microprocessors, which controls the exact stopping position of the reels.

With slot and fruit machines the player makes their bet and wagers on the odds in a bid to determine how large the payout could be. It is interesting to note that they have been banned in almost every country at some point or other, although quickly reinstated. This may be due to the fact that a lot of people – usually those who have never played a slot machine – think that they are a waste of time, never giving a return for what is put in. This couldn’t be further from the truth, it is an assumption based on the fact that most people who have ‘given it a go’ put just a few coins in and then give up because they haven’t seen any return! However if you use it approximately 20 times you are quite likely to win. UK machines have to state the percentage of coins they payout, which is at least 80% of the coins inserted! Hardly a rip off – a fairly good gamble if you think about the odds!

Also gambling in general is more accepted nowadays; for example most countries now have a national lottery; it is difficult for the notion of slot machines being bad to remain true! Gambling on slots is also more acceptable because of the fact that they are quite strictly regulated now. New regulation is currently being looked at to establish whether the UK will permit higher value machines like the ones they have in the US.

Basically Omaha Poker is a variant of Texas Hold ‘Em poker. The difference lies in the fact that instead of each player receiving two cards like they do in Texas Hold ‘Em, they receive four. Two of these cards are used with three of the five community cards to try and make the best five-card hand. You can either play where a preset limit is set for each game and on each betting round – Limit Omaha, or you can play Pot-Limit Omaha where you bet the amount that’s in the pot.

Like Texas Hold ‘Em there is a disc to indicate the player that acts as the dealer position for the upcoming game – this is the player who is sitting immediately clockwise of the button. This ‘dealer’ places a bet called the ‘small blind’, which is usually half the value of the small bet for the stakes at the table. The player immediately clockwise of the small blind then places a ‘big blind’ – a bet equal in value to the small bet for the stakes at the table. Following the placing of the blinds all the players receive four hole cards. Now the player immediately left of the big blind places his/her bet, followed by the other players, going in a clockwise direction. When all the players have played – whether folding, calling, betting or raising – the three Flop cards (community cards) care dealt onto the board, face up. The players again act, beginning with the player directly left of the button. Following this a fourth community card, the Turn is dealt face up. During this round the betting doubles from the small to the big blind value. Following this round of betting the fifth community card, the River is dealt, again face up on the board. Once all bets have been made, the players who still remain in the game reveal their cards, and the player with the best hand wins the game. For the next game the button is moved clockwise to the next player.

Omaha is a more technical game than Texas Hold ‘Em, and the best strategy is to play aggressively when you have the best hand – straight, flush or full house. Due to the fact that you are more than likely to be playing with four or five other players, it is unlikely that you will win without a flush or full house – getting to the River with a two pair is more than likely not going to cut it – there are just too many good combinations that could be made. Your starting hand is crucial, much more so than in Texas Hold ‘Em, as you are working off four cards and therefore need strong combinations. In Pot-Limit Omaha, in particular, if the odds are in your favour either bet or raise, if they are not then quickly fold. Don’t call just for the sake of it, unless you have a good reason for doing so, such as wanting to trap your challenger. And bluffing won’t help you like it would in Texas Hold ‘Em, as it is a hand-driven game.

The following online poker rooms have free and cash Omaha Poker games: William Hill Poker, VC Poker and 32 Red Poker.

As a Gamehunter, I don’t just go out and look for great sites or the best deals on bonuses. I also try to give you the best tips and advice on how to win at the games you play. If you’re new to Blackjack then you’ll want to know the pitfalls before you risk your money. The best way you can do this is to learn the mistakes that people make and make sure you avoid them!

Just remember that blackjack isn’t a game of luck; knowing how to play the game, using developed strategies and tips will all give you an advantage over the house and beat the casinos.

Generally the casino has a 2%-3% advantage over players at the Blackjack table (Betfair Casino has no house edge!) which believe it or not is pretty good given that the house advantage for some of their other games is much higher. But did you know that blackjack tables are the second highest source of revenue for casinos? Maybe it’s just me but it does seem a little strange – how exactly does a game with such good odds for players bring in so much revenue for the casino?

There’s a simple answer – too many mistakes by players that are made through ignorance or just plain silliness. When the odds are in the player’s favour it’s easy to take on a ‘beat the house’ attitude and unfortunately end up losing instead. In the end, all that happens is the errors mount up and casinos increase their revenue!

Look for tables that are compatible with your bankroll. If you have £50 to play with, then look for somewhere where the minimum bets are no more than 5% of your stash i.e. less than £2.50 min bets.

Winning with less than a total of 17 is difficult as it requires the Dealer to ‘Bust’ – at least with 17 or more in your hand you can still possibly ‘Push’ and make your money back.

Take a hit on any hand below 17 when the dealer shows ace, K, Q, J, 10, 9, or 8,

To double the opportunity of winning, you can ‘Split’ if you are dealt two cards of the same value. This doubles the bet but also doubles the possibility of winning.

Never split 10′s or 5′s.

Always split 8′s or 7′s against a dealer’s card of equal or lower value.

These tips will be quite basic for anybody who is used to playing the game but they are only meant for beginners who are new to the game. If you can keep them in mind and use them during play you could find yourself on the receiving end of a nice little windfall. Now check out some of the other blackjack tips below.

Keno’s really simple and like many, is a game of pure luck. It’s no better or no worse than taking your chances on the lottery but of course Keno odds and wagers are different but this doesn’t in any way take away from the fun of game.

Keno is such a very simple game that you don’t need to learn any rules because, frankly, there are no Keno rules. You can play it the same way you play the lottery except that you no longer have to wait until Wednesday or Saturday anymore, just hit a button or two and instantly know if you win or lose.

Because of its simplicity, Keno is almost vanquished from the casino and is mostly played in video machines. Most online casino’s now have Keno available for you to play. So why do people play Keno? Well, if you’re the kind of person who wants to have fun but without the added complication of having to remember rules and strategies or more importantly don’t know the rules and strategies then Keno is for you.

So when you go online what do you do? Well you get to your Keno table and you’ll be presented with a big board numbered 1-80. You choose how much each wager is e.g. £2. You then select any up to 15 numbers. The total amount wagered will equal your £2 multiplied by the number of squares you choose e.g. if you pick five numbers to play with your bet will be £10.

Similar to the lottery, 20 balls will pop out of the tube and land on random squares on the board. If the balls land on the squares you’ve chosen you win! The more correct hits you get, the bigger the payout – couldn’t be easier! Some casinos allow you to choose to run the numbers once or five times, of course if you chose five then be prepared to play five times the wager!

Keno is a fun random game that requires zero skill so great for those of us who just don’t want to concentrate on strategies for hours. Playing it free is great so have a go here and once you’ve gotten into the swing of things you can hit the board for real. You can try Keno for yourself at Spin Palace Casino, you can hit the free play mode or a real cash game.

There are many reasons to play poker online, but entertainment and the chance of winning lots of money are both up there at the top of the list. As with all things though, it is best to have a winning strategy like the top professionals do, otherwise you are pretty much just throwing your money away. It is a well known fact that poker is not a game won purely on luck, there is a huge element of skill involved. Of course there are millions of people out there who already know how to play poker, but if you are not one of them then it is definitely worth reading our Poker Blog, it has loads of useful articles to improve your poker game.

It is always good to learn from your mistakes, and you will make plenty of them as a beginner, so it is best to try free sessions in the practice games before you actually start placing real money bets. However there are a few big mistakes that beginners tend to make, so don’t fall into their trap! Don’t ever underestimate your opponents hand – you may think that your hand is the best that it could be, but make sure to look at what is left on the board and judge by this the likelihood that someone else has a better hand than you – you can never be too careful with this!

Another mistake that beginners (and even some more experienced players!) make is being predictable. If you always play and bet in the same way the other players will be very quick to pick up on it. So work on using a mix of styles and try not to play against the same people all the time!

Don’t try and learn all the games at once – going from one type of game to another (eg: from Texas Hold ‘em to Limit to No-Limit) will not make you a better player, it will just make you average at all of them. Restrict yourself to one type of game until you really know what you’re doing with it, and then when you have excelled you can move on to another type of poker game. On the same token, go up the stakes slowly – the games will get tighter and tighter the further up the stakes you go.

Don’t play at too many multi-table tournaments – there could be hundreds if not thousands of people playing and you will need more luck to win! Stick to the smaller tables in order to learn and develop your skills.

Keep track of your wins and your losses. Documenting this type of information will help you determine which kind of games you play best at, making it easier for you to know and where to be in with a chance of winning money. You can check out more of our poker articles below.

The history of the humble bingo game can be traced back to the great Italy city states of the 1500s. ‘Lo Giuoco del Lotto d’Italia’ was the first ‘National Lottery’ which was played every week. From Italy, the game spread to provincial France and was known as ‘Le Lotto’ where it proved very popular amongst the rich French merchant classes. The Germans put an educational spin on the game and used it to teach children basic maths.

Bingo was mainly played in European fair grounds – the booth owner would pull numbered tokens randomly from a box and players would mark their cards with beans, hence the game became known as Beano. The first player to cover a horizontal, vertical or diagonal line on their card with beans would shout ‘Beano!,’ and claim a prize. Sometime in the 1930s a salesmen named Edwin Lowe from America came across the game in a Germany city, and decided to bring the idea back to the U.S. with him. On arrival back in the U.S. Lowe showed the game to his friends, one of them got quite excited when she won and called out ‘Bingo!’ instead of ‘Beano!,’ and the name stuck!

Lowe released a version of the game with a 12 and 24 card set, costing just a dollar or two dollars for the 24 card set. The game was a smash hit and spread quickly around the States, mainly being used to raise money for charitable causes by priests in Pennsylvania, but there was a problem in that the cards were delivering too many winners rather than the desired one or two, as previously they hadn’t been played by groups of players. The priest employed the services of a university mathematician at Colombia University, Carl Leffler, who invented 6000 different bingo card numerical variations. Bearing in mind there were no computers to help complete this task, the poor mathematician was driven insane – but the result was that there was now just one winner per bingo game.

Bingo didn’t become widely acknowledged until 1960, when the Gaming Act permitted such games to be played in members-only establishments. In 1968 a Gaming Board was set up to regulate Bingo clubs and another act was passed which allowed clubs to play bingo with cash prizes via tabletop coin slots. Bingo proved so popular that Bingo Halls were set up in all major towns in the UK, many of which still exist or have been revived in recent years.

Many people tried to imitate Lowe’s bingo game, but as he did not own the game, he asked that his competitors pay him $1 a year in return for using the name Bingo. This has resulted in Bingo being the generic name of all the variations of the game that exist today, including online bingo.

Online bingo has become extremely popular and figures released in 2007 by Global betting and Gaming Consultants, in a single year online Bingo generated wins of over £70 million, and it is predicted that the expected return on Bingo wins will reach £164 million by the year 2013! Bingo broadly appeals to women, with 85% of all online players being women. If you’d like to try online bingo for yourself then Jackpot Joy Bingo is the best place to play, you can join for free, you get a matched cash bonus on your first real money deposit and even regular games where the tickets are free.

Nothing could be further from the truth! There are variations on the bingo game with differing rules, structures and patterns to suit different tastes. Two of the most common differentiations in the game are 75 Ball Bingo and 90 Ball Bingo.

75 Ball Bingo is the most popular form of the game in America, where up to 75 balls are called from 5 columns of fifteen balls, each column corresponding to one of the bingo letters. The bingo cards that are used in this version of the game have twenty-five squares, five across and five down and each column is marked with a bingo letter. Each square has a random number on it, ranging from numbers 1 to 75. To win at 75 Ball Bingo you have to be the first player to match the game pattern on your card with the balls called out. There is a huge combination of the patterns on the cards and there are static, corners, coverall and variable varieties.

90 Ball Bingo is the traditional bingo game of the United Kingdom and Australia and is similar to other forms of the game in that the customer buys cards and mark out the numbers that they have as they are called out. The player to complete the pattern is the winner. The difference between 75 and 90 Ball Bingo is the set up of the cards – in 90 Ball Bingo the cards have 3 rows and 9 columns, and 5 squares in each row contain some numbers from 1 to 90 as opposed to just 75. The winning patterns are always identical and there are 3 patterns in each game, each of which will have a prize associated with it. You can try out both types of bingo online at Jackpot Joy Bingo and also the excellent Sun Bingo website.

It is therefore always important to ensure that you know which pattern you’re playing!

The Static pattern is a standard and well-known bingo pattern which cannot be changed or alternated and can only be won when each cell is marked on the bingo card.

The Variable pattern is where variable patterns can be rotated in 90 degree increments.

The Four corners pattern is where the player has to get the numbers at the four corners of the board in order to win the prize.

The Coverall is sometimes called the ‘Blackout’ and is where players have to cover all numbers on their board. There is often a jackpot with this game where the prizes change the more calls that are made.

The Wild pattern are bingo cards with scattered patterns that stay in the same place but may be anywhere on the card.

These are just a few of the patterns that you will find in bingo, others include: Diamond, Checkmark, Bowtie, Barbell, Block of 8, Arrowhead, Airplane, Loveletter….. the list goes on and on.

However, it does have its advantages for online players – both experienced and novices. For beginners it offers the opportunity to learn the game in a less hectic, more controlled environment while for the experienced the online version of the game offers an uncrowded, more relaxed experience of the game. There are a lot of bets in craps and a live game can be intimidating for the beginner and even overwhelming for the more experienced.

Craps appears very difficult but it is actually quite a simple game which could be said to move in different stages. Stage 1 is the first roll of the dice – the ‘come-out roll’ where the dice are thrown by the shooter towards the table wall opposite his position. This could be the end of the game if the shooter throws a 2, 3, 7, 11 or 12. However if he throws a 4, 5, 6, 8, 9, 10, the number thrown becomes the ‘point’ and the dealer will then place a ‘puck’ (a marker) on that number on the table.

Once the point has been determined, the game moves onto stage 2, with the same shooter throwing the dice again until either the point number has been rolled again or a seven is rolled. When one of these two things happen the round is over and the game starts all over again. It is at this point that players make different bets – for example they might bet that the shooter will roll the same point number – the ‘Do’ side. The others, the ‘Don’t’ side might bet that the shooter will roll a 7 before the point number is rolled. Others might bet on things unrelated to the point – such as ‘place’ bets and ‘proposition’ bets.

Online craps is very similar to the land based version, but there is a lot of lingo, a multitude of betting options and an awful lot of action. It can be extremely overwhelming for the new player, but this is where online craps really comes into its own. You can play at your own pace without getting confused by the countless bets made by the other players. Some quick tips for beginners are to stick to the Right or Do side of the table and play the pass line – it’s an easy option which you should stick to until you know what is going on. You should also play at the minimum until you really understand the game properly.

Another tip is to take proper odds as this reduces the house’s edge. Also place the 6 and 8 if you are looking to do more than just betting on the pass-line and odds-combination, as these numbers offer the best odds out of any of the place numbers.

Avoid proposition bets as the houses edge on these is poor – stick with the bets that have the lowest edge. Finally manage your money, set yourself limits and learn the game – this way you have the best chances of being a winner! You can try Craps at the following Online Casinos: Paddy Power Casino, Spin Palace Casino and William Hill Casino.
