The latest series of Britain’s Got Talent is now well under way and the usual assortment of singers, dancers, cute kids and animals are battling it out to perform in front of the Queen at the Royal Variety show later this year.

Alesha Dixon, David Walliams, Amanda Holden and of course Simon Cowell, are back at the judges table to decide which acts are worthy of a place in the later rounds. Personally, I think the auditions are the best and most entertaining bit of the show as we’re treated to the really, really bad, as well as the talented.

As someone with no talent for entertaining whatsoever, it’s quite nice to see i’m not alone! Fortunately, Britain does have talent and with limited places available, the judges job is not always easy.

However, Collabro, a ‘boy band’ who have only been together for a month, sang a fabulous version of ‘Stars’ from Les Mis and they got a big thumbs up from all the judges and are one of the front runners with Ladbrokes Bookmaker who have them at odds of 7/2. They must have a great chance of winning, can’t wait to see what they’ll do next!

79 year old Paddy and her dance partner Nico are 6/1 with Ladbrokes Bookmaker after they were fast tracked to the semi finals by Amanda Holden using her Golden Buzzer. Simon overcome his dislike of ballroom dancers and joined in the standing ovation the audience and judges gave them.

Also through to the next round is the posh violinist with a big, big personality, Lettice Rowbotham at 50/1 and she will be joined by magician Darcy Oake who can be backed at odds of 14/1.

So far the judges have done a decent job picking a very good mix of new talented folk to cheer up Saturday nights dismal TV schedule!
