When Does BTG 2023 Start?
The show started on 16th April 2023 and will continue on iTV every Saturday and Sunday night until the winner is announced in the Grand Finale. Ant and Dec are on hand, as usual, to guide the nervous hopefuls through their paces with their typical friendly charm.
Changes For The 2023 Show
The show is making some changes for the 2023 edition. The judging panel will be revamped, David Walliams will not return as a judge, and Bruno Tonioli will take his place. We are also expecting some new tricks and surprises, as well as a few tweaks to the format of the show.

His final performance, in which he performed a card trick that told the story of a World War II soldier, was particularly moving and earned him a standing ovation from the judges and the audience.
After winning Britain’s Got Talent, Richard embarked on a UK tour and performed at various events, including the Royal Variety Performance, where he performed for members of the British royal family.
Tokio Myers (2017) – Pianist
Tokio Myers is an internationally recognized British pianist, composer, and producer who beat the odds to win season eleven of Britain’s Got Talent in 2017.
Before his performance on Britain’s Got Talent, Tokio was already making waves in the music industry as a sought-after pianist and composer for many popular artists in the UK.
Through his spectacular performance on Britain’s Got Talent, Tokio wowed the judges and audience alike with a distinctive blend of classical music and electronic and urban influences.
After claiming victory on Britain’s Got Talent, Tokio was signed to Syco Music and shortly afterward released his debut album, “Our Generation”, which hit the Albums Chart at number four. Lost Voice Guy (2018) – Comedian
Lost Voice Guy, otherwise known as Lee Ridley, is a British stand-up comedian and radio presenter from Newcastle. He rose to fame after winning the twelfth series of Britain’s Got Talent in 2018.
Ridley was born with cerebral palsy, which affects his ability to speak. To overcome this obstacle, he has developed an innovative way of performing comedy that combines vocalized laughter and prerecorded audio commentary on a special iPad.
Lost Voice Guy has made numerous television appearances and is a regular guest on BBC Radio 4’s Now Show, where he discusses current issues in a humorous manner.
Colin Thackery (2019) – Singer
Colin Thackery is a British singer from London who won the fourteenth series of Britain’s Got Talent in 2019.
At 89 years old, Thackery became the oldest-ever winner of Britain’s Got Talent when he won the competition with his outstanding rendition of ‘Love Changes Everything’. His performances earned him widespread acclaim and thousands of fans – both young and old – across the world.
Jon Courtenay (2020) – Singer
Jon Courtenay is an English singer, pianist, entertainer, and comedian who won Britain’s Got Talent (BGT) in 2020. He made history as the first-ever golden buzzer act to win the show!
Since winning BGT, Courtenay has gone on to release his own podcast titled Alpha Bet My Life and is currently touring with his show Jon Courtenay: The FUNNIEST Show With A Piano. Axel Blake (2022) – Comedian

What Does The BGT Winner Get?
The grand prize of £250,000 has remained unchanged since 2012, so it is uncertain if Simon will decide to increase the amount. Still, one of the greatest advantages that a contestant can gain from appearing on the show is their exposure alone; this is often worth more money than the prize money.
