Roulette Mysteries and Myths Debunked and Exposed

Roulette Myths Debunked

As with anything, there are always myths doing the rounds and online casino games are no different.

It is important for players to realize that Roulette is a game based purely on luck and taking note of myths could lead to disappointments and possible losses.

Roulette is not like Blackjack where a definite strategy is needed to be successful. For Roulette players to be successful there are no quick-fix solutions and myths, and superstitions are not the answer.

Much like online Baccarat games, Roulette players should rather concentrate on realistic ways to improve their Roulette game.

Roulette Is Unpredictable

As with any casino game based on luck, Roulette is unpredictable. Unlike Blackjack, there is no type of card counting involved which means it is impossible to spot any patterns. Every spin of the wheel, whether playing online or in a land-based casino is random and is in no way dependent on previous spins.

The ball may fall in the same slot ten times, this does not mean that it will continue happening. Superstitions or skill don’t have any place in this game whatsoever.

The randomness of Roulette gives each player the same chance of hitting that lucky number. Even though every spin is random, many players still believe that there is a pattern and will place bets on ‘sleeping numbers’, betting on numbers that haven’t seen the ball for a while.

It is thought by some Roulette players that their chance of winning with these numbers is better. For some players, this may seem like good advice, but it is not true and such ideas are flawed.

It is important to emphasize that each and every spin is random and no pattern is involved.

Some Roulette players will try to reduce the house edge by making multiple bets for each spin. Players should note that it is not possible to reduce the house with this strategy; it may work on some spins, but not in the long term and could lead to losses.

With each spin the casino has built in the house edge so it is almost like spinning multiple times which will not improve the odds and may even cause players to lose money more quickly unless some luck comes their way.

Roulette Strategies Do Not Work

There is a Roulette myth going around that players should use the Martingale strategy. If a player loses a bet then they must place a larger bet on the next spin to try and compensate for the first loss.

This could lead to problems when spinning for the fourth or fifth time. It is never good to chase a loss and a good Roulette player will know when it’s time to call it a day.

If a player picks a number it does not mean that it will come up immediately, it may take many, many spins and by then players would have depleted their bankroll. With Roulette, choosing a number is just luck and players are not guaranteed a win just because they place a large bet. Of course, a player may get lucky, but the bet is risky.

Some Roulette players believe that sticking to one type of bet is the way to win. There are many betting options in Roulette and it is always a good idea to try out different ones rather than stubbornly sticking to one. There is no winning formula when it comes to Roulette.

Wise Roulette players know that no amount of strategizing will help them to win. Playing responsibly and enjoying the game is the key to good winning opportunities.
