Konami Deal Signals A Bright Future For Slots

Europe’s slot scene is about to get a whole lot more interesting thanks to a new deal between Nektan and Spin Games. As partners, the two companies will transform some of the best live Konami slots into virtual offerings fit for a European audience.

The genesis of the deal came back in March 2017 when Spin Games and video game developer Konami agreed terms. Using Spin Games’ technology, Konami was already offering its products across North America.

However, as part of the March deal, the company’s catalogue would be distributed to various Spin Games partners in Europe.

Since then, software supplier Spin Games has worked with B2B supplier Nektan to create a route to market in countries such as the UK, France and Italy.

Konami Deals To Further Shape Euro Slot Scene

Following the November 6 announcement, everything was set for a powerful new player to enter the market. According to the recent press release, Videoslots will become the first Nektan partner site to host the new Konami slots, including: China Shores, Cherry Flare, Dragon’s Return, Lady of Heaven and more.

From this, the products will gradually filter through Nektan’s network of partners and white label casinos. Indeed, with Spin Games ROC platform and proficiency with HTML5, mobile slot players can expect a myriad of classic and brand new content in the coming months.

In fact, the latest news is yet another stitch in an increasingly rich tapestry of gaming options. In 2017, we’ve seen a number of high powerful moves and innovations from the top developers.

Back in February, NetEnt began to push the boundaries of what’s possible in the slots world with a virtual reality version of Gonzo’s Quest. Previewed at ICE 2017, the new online and mobile slot will put players in the heart of the action.

When the product is released, it’s expected that players will be able to plug their mobiles into headsets such as the Xiaomi Mi VR Play and go on a quest for slots wins.

While the team from NetEnt was putting a portion of its resources into shaping the future of mobile slots, the guys building Playtech slots added to its movie-themed menu with Justice League.

Released in tandem with the new movie, the virtual spinner brings together the likes of Superman, Batman and Aquaman in a slick slot setting. If that wasn’t enough, Red Tiger Gaming teetered on the edge of what’s politically possible with a mobile slot called Rocket Men.

Based on a fictional battle between Donald Trump and Kim Jong Un, the game uses nuclear Armageddon as its backdrop and features five explosive bonus rounds.

An Interesting 2017 Sets The Tone For Another Year Of Spinning

With so many interesting moves made in 2017, the coming year will be another fruitful 12 months for mobile slot fans. Nektan and Spin Games will certainly play a part in shaping the way we play in 2018.

Although virtual reality slots are likely change the game, we’re probably not going to get the latest innovations in 2018. If that’s the case, the video-game based spinners courtesy of Konami, Spin Games and Nektan will no doubt come to the fore. What’s more, players can expect to see new content from this new trio according to Claire Osborne, Commercial Director at Nektan.

“We are hugely excited to be the first provider to bring Konami titles to European regulated markets, and this agreement with Spin Games will allow us to expand our excellent range of content with an industry leading partner.

“This deal represents a major step forward as we continue to deliver a B2B gaming platform offering unique and bespoke content,” Osborne wrote in Nektan’s recent press release.

Heading towards the close of 2017 and into the New Year is an exciting time and the news from Nektan will certainly help set the tone for slot fans in the coming months.
